met a chap today in Kilkenny with a Camaro (or some other yank tank yoke, they all look the same to me). Anyway, he's having transmission trouble. Who knows about these round these parts? _________________ "when you're holding a hammer, every problem looks like a nail..."

Probably a th350 very common as far as autotrannys go.
While on the subject I'm looking for a 6 inch tailshaft housing for one of these if any one knows where there is a scrapper one I'd be gratefull. |

All really depends on what his trouble is, not a lot can go wrong with these .They are usually bullit proof. _________________ Time is irrelevant...

says it was working when he took the engine and box out and now they're back in it won't go into gear. Can't be anything too big... _________________ "when you're holding a hammer, every problem looks like a nail..."

First thing when it was out did he have the torq off it cause if so the fluid might be low in the torq ,this would give the impression of no drive . when you put these thing back you are to move through all the gears while the car is stationary just to make sure all the gear's are full.
an I know it sound's stupit but when checkin fluid level car must be running and in park,
Hope this help's. would be easier if car was infront of me to see exactly what was happening.
but as you say can't be anything much. _________________ Time is irrelevant...
