Johnny has taken on a project of mammoth proportions in his Chevy Belair Pickup project. Starting life as a stock saloon, this car was converted it to a hearse with a considerable amount of new metal and glass to the back. After many years as a stiff shifter, the car was retired to make way for a younger fleet of vehicles. Johnny picked up the car in 19XX and hauled it home with big plans in mind. On the cards are an engine transplant, Johnny managed to snag an '84 Chevy Caprice stationwagen not a million miles from where he lives as a donor for its engine and gearbox. The Caprice is fitted with the 5.0 litre "economy" engine (crazy Americans!!). To get the look justright, johnny has some monster billet rims with seriously low profile rubber, and to get it down in the weeds, he's fitting airbag suspension. There's not much easy about converting a hearse to a pickup truck, but with a liitle ingenuity, and a lot of hard work, Johnny is well on his way to having a sweet ride...
